由一名北原公爵宮宮務長（Chamberlain of The Household）擔任首長。當主家族大小典禮活動，包括剪綵、酒會、晚會、婚禮和喪禮等，概由宮務部籌辦。下設一名主計長（Comptroller），為宮務部副首長。

負責管理公爵財產，為公爵及其家族提供投資管理和財富管理，理財資金來源為家族的自有資金。司庫在理財方面主要有九大服務範圍，分別為風險管理、房產規劃、顧問服務、遺產分配及規劃、財富教育、資產投資、生活管理、慈善規劃以及現金管理。
